My name is Lex Rigby and I live in Sheffield (England). This is me LOLing in Iran on Amir Kabir Street, Tehran. That large piece of bread in my hand is super tastey barbari bread – A rather wholesome breakfast don’t you think?
I’m a 24 25 year old vegan warrior working for the man as a science and engineering librarian. I’m neither a scientist nor an engineer but I’d say I’m pretty good at being a librarian.
I‘ve not long finished studying for an MA in Librarianship at the University of Sheffield in 2007 where I wrote my thesis on Iranian blogging. My previous weblog was pretty naff so I thought I’d start afresh and get into the routine of writing with some regularity again. I’ve not decided how regular that’ll be yet though!
I named this weblog Just another dent in the damage after a Count me Out song called One More Reason Why. It doesn’t have much significance but I thought the name appropriate considering I like to think we live in some kind of damaged place where everything that happens simply adds another dent to the damage. A pretty positive outlook on life eh. It’s such a long time ago now but I think I set it up in order to write something constructive, I’m not sure that ever really happened but at least its become a place where you can get to know a little more about me.
