Looking for Freedom – An Exploration of the Iranian Blogosphere.

Welcome to my Textile markup Pimki Wiki!
I previously set this wiki up along with my blog to record the progress of my qualitative research project into Internet censorship, Iranian youth culture and the rise of Iranian weblogs throughout the summer of 2007.
For the purposes of other researchers I have decided to continue providing access to these pages where you’ll be able to view my Bibliography (which will eventually include all the works cited in my own research) and hopefully New Material as and when I’ve the time to update it.
This research project was a partial requirement of my Masters in Librarianship at the University of Sheffield and has also been used as the basis of a guest lecture spot given on an MSc Information Management module called Information Systems and the Information Society.
Included within March of the Bloggers is a list of so-called cyber-dissidents, which I collated over the course of this research and for anyone interested in my findings you can refer to my Abstract for the time being whilst I wait for my results. Or you can contact me here.
My survey is now closed but you can view the questions under Survey.
N.B. All information submitted within this survey was entirely anonymous and all questions were voluntary.
